New blog theme
I'm enhancing my blog and unfortunately the previous theme, which had been installed just about a month ago, is not really able to accomodate what I have in mind for the future. The new theme is quite good as it comes with 3 columns and it's easier to enhance it with (non-)standard features (in relation to the blog engine). Very importantly, it allows better display of what content I want where.
There will be some tweaks here and there on the theme these days and I have no schedule on when I add what feature, so just stop by and discover what's new. Of course I'll announce major changes in a post.
Old blogging notes
This is about some old notes I found regarding topics I wanted to blog about but didn't have the time for it and later I couldn't as I was doing extensive changes to BlogSpace. They are mostly in a chronological order but in some cases not really up-to-date or relevant anymore. I just felt I should post them here anyways despite belonging to the old Andre - Archive blog. Better late than never.
Mobile blogging
I'm using the default Internet Explorer (pocket edition) as browser which comes with Windows Mobile 5.
It works quite well except I have to write "in HTML" as no visual editor availabe for this browser. I'm not ready to spend money on an upgrade only for this little use.
Note: I will add links later when I'm back on a "normal" computer. Post updated.
New blog
I've moved all old content (in fact, I've moved the entire blog) to Andre - Archive to clean up and start fresh. I didn't want to loose all the hundreds of posts but I also wasn't happy anymore with the blog content so I decided to re-start this Andre blog.
I want to publish more content, no matter where I am. Unfortunately, posting articles in a blog fashion won't be possible from just anywhere and thus I've added Twitter posts which show tiny posts (limited to 140 characters). I can create those posts from browsers but more importantly, by sending text messages from my mobile phone. That new mobility makes posting available at almost any place, in real-time.
